Keski-Suomen Henkisen Maanpuolustuksen Liitto ry is one of the 14 regional associations, which are members of the National Defence Course Association, Maanpuolustuskurssiyhdistys.

Keski-Suomen Henkisen Maanpuolustuksen Liitto ry (below Liitto for short) is established in 1966 in Jyväskylä, Central Finland. Liitto is an registered association working on voluntary and non-governmental bases connecting civic organizations and private citizens to open forums of discussions, seminars and information of safety in everyday-life, security of regional and national operations and also in defence policy on wide-ranging contexts. Since year 2000 Liitto has been organizing the famous Martti Ahtisaari -lecture.

Almost all the members of Liitto have participated the National or Regional Defence Course on which participation is limited.  Those members who have passed the Defence Course are allowed to wear a lapel pin shown below.
